Day 2…..Eureka California

Today started much better than Day 1….at 7:00am it was bright and sunny without a cloud in the sky (well, as far as I could see anyways), but with the clear skies came the cold temps…there was a nice layer of frost/ice over the whole bike….All layered up, and heated grips on high (I found the loose wire and fixed’em up), I took off down Hwy 101 heading south. If you have never been down this hwy, you gotta go at least once in your life, the views and the scenery are so amazing that pictures do not do them justice…..I just spent most of the ride down staring out at the coast (not recommended when you’re the one driving). Along the way I hooked up with another rider (Greg from Maui) on his way back to San Fran ending his 3 week ride on his big 1200GS, If you know those BMWs, my little 650 single had a hard time keeping up with him…we parted ways in Eureka where I was staying for the night and he continued on toward “the Lost Coast” of California (which in itself sounds interesting)……end of day 2, tommorrow, I’m thinking Monterey/Carmel…
